Key Club Chooses Moriches Bay

by | News

The Moriches Bay Project is proud to announce that the local Key Club has chosen us to work with this year.. Each year they must pick an environmental program from around the world to donate their services to and this year they have chosen us!!

The Key Club is an international student-led organization which provides its members with opportunities to provide community service, build character and develop leadership. Key Club International is the high school organization sponsored by Kiwanis International. High school student members of Key Club perform acts of service in their communities, such as cleaning up parks, collecting clothing and organizing food drives. They also learn leadership skills by running meetings, planning projects and holding elected leadership positions at the club, district and international levels.

-Why we picked MBP

Quote from the Lieutenant Governor:
“Division 1 Key Club has chosen MBP because we are passionate about maintaining the integrity of the natural world around us. We love that MBP is a local organization working to preserve what could be considered the heart of the community: the waters. The Moriches Bay Project also brings general awareness to the conditions of these waters and provides hands-on ways to make a difference”.

Welcome on board and we are proud to have your support!
