Manna Monday’s with Half Shells for Habitat

by | Events

Monday, December 13th we are honored to be speaking at Manna Monday’s. The Moriches Bay Project will be sharing our mission, updating you on our accomplishments, and talking about our future initiatives. We will be available to answer questions regarding our goal to improve the bays we all live, work, or play on.

We will be sharing this evening with the Half Shells for Habitat. For those who do not know, Half Shells for Habitat was established to address the critical need to return oyster shells to LI estuaries. The shells provide vitally important substrates on which young oysters can attach and grow. The Moriches Bay Project has worked with this hard-working dedicated group and is thrilled to share this night with them!

Manna Mondays feature guest speakers and curated chef’s dinners. These events are orchestrated by Manna at Lobster Inn co-owners, Donna Lanzetta and Ryunosuke Jesse Matsuoka and are sponsored by the not-for-profit Manna Ocean Foundation. The Manna Monday program is designed to educate the public about seafood traceability, sustainable seafood production, and sourcing.

The discussion will start at 6 p.m.
The presentation is free and open to the public.
No reservations are required, and everyone is welcome.
Address:  5 Inlet Rd, Southampton, NY 11968

There will be a fundraiser dinner after the discussion which will benefit both the Half Shells for Habitat and Moriches Bay Project.  Dinner is $60 per person. To purchase tickets for the dinner please call Manna at Lobster Inn (631) 728-5555.
