Moriches Bay Project went to East Port School Friday, April 8th. We met with two classes of 75 students each.
The Moriches Bay Project is a local organization dedicated to working within our community to monitor and restore Moriches Bay. We are committed to reestablishing populations of shellfish and eelgrass to this fragile marine environment. We educate and empower the community to help counteract local environmental problems.
Let the Moriches Bay Project come to your school or organization and teach your students about the importance of caring for the Bay and what we can all do to improve water quality. We also break the students into small groups to show them how to make oyster cages. It’s a fun and educational experience for the students.edicated to reestablishing populations of shellfish and eelgrass to this fragile marine environment.
