Thanks to all the volunteers who got up early with us on Sunday, June 12th. What an amazing morning it was!
Stephan, Amanda, and Dwight lead the group out to the Bay where over the course of several hours we collected approximately 5,000 reproductive shoots. We will be saving the seagrass seeds from the reproductive shoots to plant at a suitable restoration site in Moriches Bay later in September. Here are a few pictures from the event.
