The Moriches Bay Project, Town of Brookhaven and the Moriches Junior Members of the Yacht Club reestablished our oyster farm at the yacht club on Friday morning. This farm will hold just over 10,000 oysters. The Junior Members will maintain and care for the oyster farm under Moriches Bay Project scientist care. In addition, the Junior Members will be responsible for reporting back to us by taking pictures of the farm and writing a short paragraph eery week on the condition of the farm. These kids really take this responsibility very seriously and we are very appreciative of their work.
